ADSIS Program: We provide additional instruction for K-6 students who need math and reading support.
Components of our program include:
Identifying Student Need. We collaborate with grade-level teachers to identify students in need of extra assistance. We provide further assessment as needed to identify academic skills in need of improvement.
Instructing Students. We implement research-based instruction and interventions to meet targeted student goals. We typically work with students 75 minutes per week. Students may be placed in a small group or individual intervention.
Monitoring Student Progress. We continually assess and monitor student progress. Students who meet goals exit our program. Students who do not meet goals are re-assessed and changes are implemented. Occasionally, a student needs a greater level of support than our program can provide and may be referred to special education services.
Communicating with Parents and Teachers. We strive to keep parents and teachers informed about student progress in our program. We send parent updates at least twice quarterly. We seek feedback from teachers on student performance in the core curriculum. We invite feedback from parents and send out yearly parent surveys.
